Sunbeams refer one of the early British automobiles that won the Grand Prix races. The Sunbeams managed to set quite a number of ground speed records. The original new automobiles that were manufactured by the Sunbeam Motor Automobile Company were based on the Peugeot’s mode of operation. This is because they were favourite from the year they were launched. Another reason was because the manufacturing rate was also high with ten automobiles being manufactured on a weekly basis. An engineer, Louis Coatalen, who had worked at Humber, is the man behind the local productions increase and low outsourcing rates. The new engineer eventually started a program for Sunbeam’s racing that increased in fame. In addition, he added new touring automobiles that were based under the category for racing vehicles.

The first manufactured Sunbeam automobiles were launched in 1901, after corporation with Maxwell Maberly-Smith. These Sunbeam-Mabley designs were one-of-a-kind ones, having seats on apiece side of belt-drives that were powered by means of single-cylinders in engine forms and had less than 2.2 kW.  At that time, the company established the production of Thomas Pullingers automobiles whose designs were based on Berliet mechanicals. They also introduced new models based on Peugeot motors that were sold weekly in huge numbers as they were on demand.

John Marston, the man behind the implementation of the Sunbeams idea, was born in 1836 in Ludlow, in an averagely-rich family. When he was fifteen years old, he was sent to Wolverhampton to undergo training under Edward Perry, who was a manufacturer of Japanware. When he was twenty three years, he started on his individualized Japanning trade and prefabricated different kinds of household utensils. In 1871, when Perry passed away, he had already done credible work and so he inherited his business and integrated it in his.

He started off by manufacturing Sunbeam bicycles and decided to adopt his wife’s recommendation of a suitable name, and thus the study “Sunbeam”. During the late 1890’s, his business partner, Thomas Cureton, encouraged him to think of manufacturing a vehicle. They came up with sketches of the sample automobiles and that is when the actual work started on the model in 1899. In a couple of years, the company produced great numbers of good calibre automobiles and managed to be ranked as largest employers in Wolverhampton.

Sunbeams were marques that were registered in 1888 at Wolverhampton, England by a company known as John Marston Co. Ltd. That company started off by manufacturing bicycles, progressed to motorcycles before manufacturing vehicles. From there, it progressed to circa in and applied the marques to the entire three forms of transport modes. The company finally assembled roughly seven hundred aircraft in the First World War, which was an incredibly great triumph.

This led to the development of Sunbeam Motorcar Company Ltd in 1905, distinct from the other of Marston’s established business that maintained the Sunbeam bicycles and motorcycles manufactured at that time. Sunbeam continued to make small numbers of the Veterans, and by 1912, they were progressing satisfactorily with the conservative stylish vehicles. This was an extremely huge competition to the Rolls Royce. Sunbeams were reflected on as automobiles for people who believed that the Rolls Royce was somewhat grandiose.

It has been owned by the Volkswagen Group of Germany since 1998. In India, Bentley Motors caters to the consumers of top-end luxury cars.

Bentley Motor Automobile Company enjoys the love and affection of the people of British. This company is 82 years old and still enjoys the loyalty of the people. Bentley Motors has a history full of turns and twists and quite an interesting one too. The company’s father, Walter Owen Bentley, began its career as a railroad engineering apprentice. But soon he started racing via motorcycle circuit. During the war Walter Bentley dealt with aircrafts and that was the underlying cause that determined his intent of establishing an vehicle works of his own.

Eventually in 1919 Bentley Motors was born in England and two years later the first Bentley models saw the light. They were the 3-litre Bentleys. Walter Bentley was a racer in heart and he was aimed at manufacturing sport cars. His racing automobiles immediately became winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans but that did not last long. Bentley Motors, Ltd was a privately founded company and Walter Bentley did not have either a lot of money on hand nor a good reliable sponsor. The Great Depression dilapidated British manufacturers greatly and Bentley Motors did no escape the common lot.

By that time Bentley has already decided to expand the production and pay more attention to the models that can attract more customers. Therefore luxurious Bentleys appeared and became the powerful rivals of Rolls-Royces. Gripped in a financial vice Bentley had to sell the company to Rolls-Royce. Bentley himself worked at Rolls-Royce for some time. The Cars produced during that period were a fusion of sporting Bentley and luxurious Rolls-Royces and even got the study Rolls-Bentley. But unlike their predecessors, Rolls-Bentleys were no more the winners of prestigious races.

World War II was another plight that nearly devastated the company. But step by step Bentleys have regained their reputation. In the 1980s Bentley experienced another boom of popularity and increased sales. The Volkswagen Group, a German company, has been the owner of Bentley since 1998. From then on, there was no looking back and Bentley motors went on to make some of the finest automobiles ever known. In reality fewer people purchased them due to their high prices but still everyone secretly thought of taking control of one of these.
