Insuring a automobile these days can be a high-priced process, there are a multitude of different factors that determine how much you’re going to be spending on insurance for your car.  Automobile Insurance is mandatory in the UK and so when you are looking for a new or used car, you are likely to be considering how much that automobile will cost to insure, many people will make decisions based on this alone when they are looking to get their next car.

Recent surveys have found that if you want to get a cheap automobile to insure then you should look towards a used or older automobile rather than a brand new, latest and greatest model.  Newer models are likely to come with higher premiums for a wide range of reasons from the cost of replacement parts to the country record.

Cars are classified into insurance groups which are determined by these factors, factors like replacement parts, country records, the power and top speed of the automobile and other factors.  When you go to purchase a automobile there’s a chance that you’ll be told what category the automobile falls into, many smaller automobiles being sold will capitalise on this selling point as smaller automobiles are very favourite with younger or first time drivers and will be cheaper for them to get insurance on.

Recently a automobile manufacturer has prefabricated a press release about how one of their modern automobiles has been reclassified to a cheaper car insurance category.  The change has been prefabricated due to the country record and the cheap parts that the automobile uses, it also cites that with lower insurance premiums to pay it means that drivers are less likely to suffer with the upcoming road tax alterations and the rising cost of petrol and diesel.

cheap automobile insurance is something we all strive for and with the sheer range of providers now acquirable it’s no surprise that many of us change to a different one more often these days and check with insurers before buying a new or used car.  Many people are swaying towards buying a used automobile as, apart form the obvious insurance benefits, there is also the fact that new automobiles depreciate a tremendous percentage when the owner tries to sell on, so buying a second hand automobile means you are less likely to lose a massive sum of money when you come to trading up for a new model.

The traffic warden is now probably the most detested public servant on our streets today, as they are literally on the streets patrolling to make sure that no one has parked illegally such as on a double yellow lined street or dangerously such as immediately outside of a school gate.

The trouble is that many of us start victim to a “meter maid” at some point in our driving lives and feel slighted because they didn’t comprehend that they could not park there.  Many motorists feel that some signs and instructions are deliberately confusing and aim to catch them out and acquire themselves a ticket and a parking fine.

A current survey of motorists found that 60 percent of them were under informed about where they could and couldn’t leave their vehicle.  One in ten of those questioned had received a fine for parking at a hospital when visiting a sick friend or relative or when they were in the hospital themselves!

The survey was carried out by a car insurance company who found that with most parking enforcement policies it’s now local authorities and councils that handle the policing of the streets instead of the police.

Whilst a parking fine isn’t likely to affect your car insurance quotes it can certainly add to the cost of motoring and this is something people are being more conscious of with expenses like petrol rising in cost many people are finding that they don’t want to be caught a foul of some malicious parking attendant.

Other driving convictions such as running red lights or speeding are likely to affect insurance policies so you still need to be careful when you’re driving as you might get a fine or penalty in the short term but in the long term you also have high insurance costs to deal with, as well as the prospect of a tougher time finding an insurer who will take a chance on you.
